Welcome to March, the month that gives us the last day of winter and the first day of spring.  As a follow up to our February newsletter, 22 Bowen’s Wine Bar & Grille won the best beef burger in the Burger Bender competition and while we congratulation them on a job well done our personal favorite was at Stoneacre Brasserie. As we head into March Madness and you find your perfect local sports bar to catch some awesome college hoops, let’s go green and get festive as the town of Newport prepares for its 68th Saint Patrick’s Day Parade! And, if anyone was wondering what NLG did with their extra 24 hours gained on Leap Day, it was spent putting together this newsletter!

Did you know you can get authentic French Macarons on Aquidneck Island? Le Bec Sucre is serving up Macarons from Paris as well as a bevy of other delicious breads, tartes, and pastries. If you haven’t been, it’s a must try…if it’s a Saturday morning be prepared to wait in line, but it is worth it, we promise! 

Meditation…

Restorative yoga is popping up in a few studios around Newport. Mend offers Sound Bath Meditation, a class that is designed to allow your brain to slow down and relax and Restorative Yoga, which is a slow-paced class using props (blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters, etc.) and longer holds as a way to discover deep relaxation and rejuvenation. Newport’s newest yoga studio, Titanium Yoga Studio, also offers Restorative Yoga.

Microwaves have come a long way since their invention in 1945. They have gone from a countertop appliance to microwaves that include built-in models, over-the-range, countertop, under counter, wall oven and microwave combination, as well as smart and convection microwaves.
